Work Accidents

Work Related Accidents

Accidents at work are particularly difficult to deal with because, apart from the clear identification of responsibilities, they also require immediate and effective medical support to repair the damage.
Whether you are a permanent employee, part-time employee or freelance associate, you are entitled to both moral and financial satisfaction and support in the rehabilitation of your health.
Because many of the facts of your case rely on memory, the sooner you contact us, the more detailed and accurate your description of the incident will be. We recommend that you take as many notes as possible for the most effective support. Often injuries are not obviously work related and that is where the expertise of the legal team, workplace safety specialists and the skill of medical experts makes all the difference.

Why entrust All Accidents with your case:

Our philosophy is to offer more and therefore help you claim more.
Our expert partners have extensive experience in accident cases, having participated in hundreds of claims and recoveries.
An additional asset of our medical partners is the fact that they have checked in practice and identified those external experts who apart from specialized support in a court, are able to advise or undertake the restoration of the damage. Part of the cooperation with us is the continuous advisory/monitoring of the medical evolution of the person hurt, in direct contact with the relevant physicians

Do not agree to anything before talking to us.

Insurance companies, in their effort to minimize the compensation you deserve may try various ways of approaching you through "very friendly" intermediaries like lawyers, claim managers or social workers.
Your interests are, however, in complete contrast with theirs. Do not agree to anything unless you receive an advice from us. Our specialist will examine and propose without any commitment from your side how to support you best to maximize your satisfaction. Even if you agree formally on something and your medical condition worsens, there may be ways to re-negotiate but it will be more difficult.

In case that, due to the accident you cannot move, a partner of All Accidents can meet you on the location you will indicate, at home or at a medical or rehabilitation facility.
Whatever the cause of the accident may be, resulting in injury or even in death, you can call today at +30 210 7212175 or at +30 6983 077459 for a professional advice. We operate on the principle of No Win, No Pay, so you do not undertake any commitment!

What is an industrial accident

An occupational accident is one that occurs to a worker during or on the occasion of work and which is caused by a sudden event, a violent event, as long as it caused the worker to be unable to work for more than 4 days or even loss of life. A violent event means that there is an exceptional and sudden effect of an external factor unrelated to the worker's organic condition. This influence may be caused by the aggravation of working conditions under unforeseen and exceptional circumstances. Therefore, a pre-existing illness which manifests itself or is aggravated during the performance of work under normal conditions does not constitute an accident at work. However, if the illness arose during the performance of the work under exceptional and unusual circumstances or as a result of excessive effort made by the worker in the performance of his work, it is classified as an accident at work.
Case law has held that an employee's excessive effort that caused death or incapacity for work is an industrial accident.
Thus, acute myocardial infarction caused by unusual working conditions and adverse conditions has been held by the Courts to constitute an industrial accident.
Accident at work has also been classified as an industrial accident if it occurred due to the assignment of heavy work to an unrecovered worker.
The provisions relating to industrial accidents cover three types of accidents:

During the execution of the work

Those that occur during the performance of the work as a direct consequence of the work (injury to the worker by machinery, fall during the performance of the work, etc.).

On the occasion of the work

Those that occur on the occasion of work, i.e. outside the place and time of work, provided that they are even indirectly related to work. It has been held by the Courts that those occurring while going to work, or while performing an act in the interest of the employer, even without his order, or during the midday break at the place of work on arrival or departure and for a period of one hour respectively, also constitute accidents at work.

From occupational disease

Those due to occupational disease. Occupational diseases are those caused by the effects of working conditions, as detailed in the IKA Sickness Regulations. More broadly, however, any aggravation of a pre-existing illness that occurred as a result of continuing the same work also constitutes an occupational accident.
